Behind The Design
The Quill design is now available on our indigo fabric. This embroidered design is drawn from the shapes found on the shirt sleeves of a Hidatsa garment. To see the inspiration image visit our blog here.
In our ongoing efforts to acknowledge our past appropriation of Indigenous arts and design; specifically the work: “Quill”, we at Coral & Tusk have chosen to support the efforts of the Wyoming Arts Council and the Native Art Fellowship. This fellowship was launched in 2021 as part of an effort to bring equitable and just funding to Indigenous Wyoming artists while also promoting the visibility of Indigenous artwork and lifeways. This aligns with our internal mission here at Coral & Tusk to make a lasting impact, by committing to a five year annual donation to this wonderful initiative.
We are keeping this appropriated design in the collection and are acknowledging the source of inspiration by committing a donation of $1,500 a year to the Native Art Fellowship through 2027, or until the Quill design is retired and no longer available for sale. We started our donation pledge in 2021 with a $5,000.00 donation that will serve as the base of the scholarship.

Pillow Cover:
- Embroidered on 100% linen fabric. Back fabric is 100% linen.
- Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified.
Care:
- Linen is an incredibly durable fabric, and can be laundered in many ways. Over time, linen softens with multiple washes, enhancing the texture of the fabric. If you prefer a natural linen look, feel free to machine wash on a delicate cycle, and line dry your favorite Coral & Tusk pillow covers. To keep your linens crisp and smooth, consider spot clean treatments or dry cleaning.

- 100% Polysilk™ insert. Polysilk™ is a luxurious down-alternative fill. It is long lasting, machine washable, hypoallergenic, and cruelty free.
