We've been inspired by Hygge & West for years, admiring their wall paper designs and following their collaborations and partnerships. Founders Aimee Lagos and Christiana Coop have an amazing eye for design, interiors and pattern. We were so excited to hear that they were coming out with their own book, Hygge & West Home: Design for a Cozy Life, and absolutely ecstatic to have Stephanie's home in Wyoming be a part of it. Stephanie's cabin is in excellent company, alongside Aimee and Christina's own homes, Julia Rothman, Malene Barnett, Ana Gasteyer, Angelina Rennell, Glenn Lawson, among others! Published by Chronicle Books, it's now available to purchase in most places where books are sold. Hygge & West Home is a must-have resource if you are interested in design and interiors. Grab your copy today and in the meantime scroll through to see a few sneak peeks of Stephanie's home and interview!

Hygge & West: Coral & Tusk is about handicraft, pattern, and lots of warm texture. How are those elements expressed in your home? Stephanie Housley: The house itself is a pretty stunning example of all those things: it is a handmade log cabin, and even the chinking (the material used at the joints of two logs is hand-scribed, hand-cut wood, which is very rare since it is a more antiquated and laborious method. The texture, pattern, and warmth of the logs create a dominant feeling on their own. We've layered in our warm Coral & Tusk fabrics through upholstery or bedding in most rooms of the house. We have heavy Moroccan wool rugs, which really add to those categories as well.

Stephanie had a wonderful visit with Aimee, Christiana and photographer James Carriere in Wyoming. They have shared her home as a favorite with some behind the scenes photos on story on their blog.

Paco on the road

We love seeing these pictures of Paco the Mastiff from their visit. Sadly, he has since passed away. This image of Stephanie and him together along her snowy driveway fills our hearts with total joy. It's one of our all time favorites of the two of them.

Among some of the other images that didn't quite make the cut for the book, is this image of Stephanie's windowsill. Here you can see special objects and artifacts Stephanie has collected from around the world and in her own backyard in Wyoming. We're happy this special shot made it into the Beyond the Book feature on the Hygge & West blog.
