If you’re in the NYC area, there are so many great outdoor art events on view right now! We can’t wait to see the Niki de Saint Phalle exhibit at MoMA PS1 and the much anticipated Kusama: Cosmic Nature exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden. Not in NYC? MoMA PS1 has an online lecture, Niki de Saint Phalle and the Art of the Tarot available to watch on YouTube here.
Anything for Selena artwork by Iliana Garcia
“Me siento muy… excited! to recommend the Anything for Selena podcast! If you were a fan of Dolly Parton’s America drop everything you’re doing and check out Anything for Selena, all episodes now available in English and Spanish wherever you get your podcasts.
Anything for Selena weaves together Selena Quintanilla’s incredible life and music with the stories and personal experiences of host Maria Garcia and her guests, as they explore what it means to be a Latinx American in a world with and without Selena.” - Alicia
“Gonna make and eat something (Not sure what yet- Sponge cake? Salt baked chicken?! So many options!) from the Send Chinatown Love Digital Cookbook. Free to download, but there is a suggested $15 donation that goes towards Send Chinatown Love's amazing cause.” - Jess
India’s COVID-19 crisis is devastating. Hospitals are overwhelmed, oxygen supplies are critically low, and each day the death toll rises. Our products are embroidered and produced in a small workshop in India, without our production partners we can not do what we do. We are committing to donating 1% of all sales to COVID-19 relief and humanitarian efforts in India for the foreseeable future. We plan to contribute to fundraisers on the Give India platform and to Project Nanhi Kali, both organizations were recommended to us by our partners in India. We encourage you to also consider donating directly as well.
India’s largest and most trusted fundraising platform. Donate directly to a variety of causes related to providing COVID-19 relief in India. Contribute to efforts to boost oxygen supply, send ration kits to the hardest hit across the state of Maharashtra, and donate to an effort to provide period products to women and adolescent girls in need.
Project Nanhi Kali is one of India’s largest programs that enables underprivileged girls to complete 10 years of schooling. The project provides daily academic support as well as an annual school supplies kit, which allow girls to attend school with dignity.
