The New York Times asked 75 artists 7 questions about their personal and artistic experiences in the past pandemic year. The results are a unique multi-media piece that made us laugh, cry, and left us feeling inspired! Read (and view!) the interviews here.

Monarchs by Randy Monarch Butterfly Caterpillar

Shop Text

We’re really into Monarch Butterflies these days, especially after the launch of our new Spring collection. Monarchs by Randy is an Etsy shop that specializes in fine art sculptures of the Monarch Butterfly life cycle all handmade by Randy. The detail is INCREDIBLE! We’re especially torn between the Monarch Butterfly and the Corner Cat Monarch Butterfly Caterpillar. Which one is your favorite?

Wild Bird Fund, based here in NYC, rehabilitates over 3000 sick, injured or orphaned wildlife and releases them back to the wilds of New York City. We love following their work on Instagram at @wildbirdfund and learning more about wild birds in our own backyard and how we can help protect them.

The Pasta Man Cook Book
Cook Text

One thing (of many, let’s be honest!) we all love here at Coral & Tusk is homemade fresh pasta. So you know we’re pre-ordering The Pasta Man: The Art of Making Spectacular Pasta by Matt Zielonka. We can’t get enough of Zielonka’s amazing pastagram and we’re so excited to learn how to make our own beautiful fresh pasta! The book isn’t out until June so in the meantime relax and enjoy Zielonka’s Instagram videos!

Donate Text

We are personally donating to Stop AAPI Hate and the following organizations that support the greater AAPI community in response to the horrific shootings that took place in Atlanta last week. Our hearts are with the victims and their families and we stand with the Asian American community. Consider joining us in enrolling in Bystander Intervention Training with Hollaback! to help end harassment and build safer environments for our AAPI friends and neighbors.

Stop AAPI Hate

Founded in March 2020 in response to the alarming escalation of xenophobia and bigotry resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council (A3PCON), Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA), and the Asian American Studies Department of San Francisco State University launched the Stop AAPI Hate reporting center. The center tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice Atlanta

Support the families impacted by the violent acts that took place on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta is the first nonprofit legal advocacy organization dedicated to protecting the civil rights of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) and Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian (AMEMSA) communities in Georgia and the Southeast.

Welcome to Chinatown

Welcome to Chinatown is a grassroots initiative to support Chinatown businesses and amplify community voices that generates much needed momentum to preserve one of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods.

This week we also witnessed another mass shooting in our country. We’re thinking of the victims and their families, along with the community of Boulder, CO, but thoughts and prayers are not enough. Donate to Everytown, the largest gun violence prevention organization in America to support their work. Head to the Everytown website for more ways you can get involved in ending gun violence and call your representatives to demand action today.
