On August 27th, 2025, the United States imposed a 50% tariff on products imported from India. We have given our all to absorb the increased tariff costs, extending our best prices to you, our customer.

As a small, independently owned business, it has become increasingly challenging to shoulder these additional tariffs. On October 1st, we will implement a modest price increase. The prices currently listed on our website will be honored until then. 

We have worked with the same production partners in India for over fifteen years! Together, we’ve been able to create the beautifully embroidered work that is synonymous with Coral & Tusk. We’ve built strong and lasting relationships with our embroiderers, tailors, and production manager, and hope to continue for many years to come.

Moving our production domestically is not an option for us. The embroidery machines and manufacturing equipment our partners operate in India do not exist in the United States. Flax is not grown and processed into linen domestically; our fabric can only be imported. Even if we tried to build our own embroidery workshop here in the US, the start-up costs would be astronomical. The equipment is unavailable domestically, and there would be no way to service the machines or replace parts.

What we have cultivated domestically is a fantastic team based in Brooklyn, NY, and Pinedale, WY . Our full-time team consists of seven people who run our website, receive inventory, pack and ship your orders carefully, and are available to answer any questions. Our top priority has always been to provide living wages, benefits, and a positive work environment to all of our employees, and our pricing structure reflects that.
