Coral & Tusk Visits Kuhl-Linscomb in Texas
In mid October we packed up our Coral & Tusk goods and headed to Houston for our trunk show at Kuhl-Linscomb! Our first store visit and trunk show of the season coincided with Kuhl-Lincomb's annual Holiday Shopping Card Event, where participating businesses donate a percentage of sales to the American Cancer Society. We felt so lucky to be included in the Holiday Card festivities, as one of many trunk shows and events taking place for the ten day fundraiser. We had a blast connecting with customers and fellow designers!
Kuhl-Linscomb's sprawling campus is comprised of five buildings filled to the brim with furniture, antiques, bedding, table linens, apothecary, jewelry, baby, kitchen, garden and so much more! It's impossible to see everything but was such a treat to try! We set up shop in the Main Building, displaying the entire C&T home line, including our brand new Framed Artwork!
C & T Merit Badges and Stationery!
Kuhl-Linscomb began over a decade ago as a flea market booth, by Pam Kuhl, an interior designer, and Dan Linscomb, a businessman. When Pam and Dan aren't spending their days running their eponymous, colossal home store, they are on the road for buying trips, sourcing everything from vintage concrete lawn ornaments and antique store signs to traditional fine linens and contemporary furnishings. We had the good fortune of meeting Dan at the National Stationery Show a few years ago, and have enjoyed visiting with Pam, Dan, and the buying team at the New York Now Gift Show in the years since!

We kicked off our first day at Kuhl-Linscomb with John Derian's Picture Book signing. Above are the beautifully displayed John Derian plates for the occasion. John was there signing books and decoupage pieces, as one of the last stops on his lengthy book tour!
Dan was so kind to give us the grand tour of Kuhl-Linscomb's five buildings plus a tour of the historic Penguin Arms Building, soon to be an additional Kuhl-Linscomb showroom!
Left: An entire room devoted to faux flowers. Can you believe these beauties last forever!? Right: Christmas at Kuhl-Linscomb is an incredibly special time! The halls are decked, lights and trees adorn the entire main building.
Building 3 is exclusively tabletop, during our visit we created a few holiday tablescapes including our new Tree Trimmers collection above, paired with Astier de Villatte ceramics.
Our fall harvest themed table features the Homecoming Elk Dinner Napkin and our Homecoming Table Runner.
Across Steel St, find Building 2 which houses pillows and bedding. Above is a safari-like vignette of our Parakeet Love Pillow, Garden Pattern 20" Pillows and our Steps 20" pillow. In the bedding area you may also find Bandit, Kuhl-Linscomb's resident feline!
Our Homecoming Lumbar featured in a warm and cozy bedding display.
We love seeing how our wholesalers pair our products with the other lines they carry. Kuhl-Linscomb is a unique mix of old and new, we loved taking the time to enjoy the entire store and all of its little details.
We cannot thank Dan, Pam, and the extended Kuhl Linscomb team enough for hosting us for our holiday trunk show. We love visiting Texas and are so appreciative to all of those who came out and to say "Howdy!" at our K-L event. We look forward to seeing the Lone Star State again soon and stay tuned for more store visits on the blog!
