How to Choose and Style Round Tablecloths

Last year we introduced table runners in a longer length for all the extra at home gathering happening. This year, we created 3 new round tablecloth designs, Flower Stems, Plants, and Paradise Garden in two sizes to fit most tables!

Below we break down how the different sizes will look on different sized tables so you can choose the correct one for you, as well as drop measurements and tips on how to style the 3 unique tables.

To measure your round table, get a measuring tape or ruler and measure straight across the center to get the diameter. The length that the tablecloth will hang down over your table is called the drop.

For reference, standard tables are between 28" and 32" height, and the tables we shot on were 30" high. We used a 48” table and a 60” table to show the 2 sizes we offer in round tablecloths, a 70" and a 90" option.

70” tablecloth on a 48” diameter table has an 11” drop
90” tablecloth on a 48” diameter table has a 21” drop
  70” tablecloth on a 60” diameter table has a 5” drop
90” tablecloth on a 60” diameter table has a 15” drop

Flower Stems:
Dine amongst the flowers with our garden inspired tablecloth. Embroidered peonies, foxgloves, sunflowers, roses, tulips, pansies, sweet peas, hydrangeas, daffodils, crocuses, hellebores and primrose are patterned across the tablecloth.

At right, you see our 90" Flower Stems tablecloth on a 60" table with the longer 21" drop.

Our Flower Stems tablecloth is fully embroidered across the top of the table, so below, we styled it simply to let the embroidery be the focus with white Astier de Villatte plates, brass flatware, and our Hydrangea, French Tulip, and Cosmos dinner napkins.

For Easter, we went all out by adding our Easter Parade basket as a centerpiece holding a sweet Bunny in Basket doll, displaying pastel dip-dyed eggs, and the finishing touch, a Bunny Badge Pin at each place setting!

Plants:
Drawn from nature, our fantastic fronds and large leaves bring botanical abundance to any table.

We love pairing the Plants tablecloth with our Thistle and Poppy dinner napkins, Hawkins recycled glasses for a cool tint, and silver flatware.

Paradise Garden:
Enter the garden of our dreams, bursting with color and life! Fine vines and stitched stems trail across our Paradise Garden tablecloth.  At left is the 70" Paradise Garden Tablecloth on a 48" table with an 11" drop. Paradise Garden Tablecloth Settings

Already blooming with color, we chose to bring out the amber and coral stitching in our Paradise Garden tablecloth and Coral Bouquet dinner napkin with coordinating ripple glasses by Sophie Lou Jacobsen and Kneeland Co. Oaxaca Floral candles in fuchsia and marigold.

We had so much fun setting and styling these new tablecloths and can’t wait to see how you use them in your Easter brunches, spring gatherings, and everyday dinners.
