Alija's Hostess Gift Guide
Meet Alija, our Content & Brand Manager! Alija’s hostess gifts are cocktail themed, she selected a cocktail napkin set for one lucky host and paired them with Hay’s Glass Straws (Bottom Left), which also come in a set of six, a match made in hostess gift heaven!

Alija's Picks Text

This year I'm hosting a small Thanksgiving for close friends and family. I love to cook but timing tends to be my Achilles Heel in the kitchen, especially with so many dishes to prepare. It’s always a good idea to plan something fun prior to dinner, just in case there is a delay with meal prep. Bring out the bar cart and have a few special cocktails or sparkling drinks (here's a fun list on Bon Appetit to try!) ready for guests as they arrive. It’s not only a great distraction from the slow cooking turkey, it’s also a really nice way to welcome everyone and give them some space to relax and catch up before dinner.

Cocktail napkins are one of my favorite gift items. They add a decorative detail and are very useful, plus you can never have too many! This season I'm loving our new Kinship cocktail napkin set. Each animal is so sweet, and it's fun to have a different animal for each guest. I've been eyeing these beautiful colorful glass straws from Hay which would make an excellent pair with our cocktail napkins. Throw in a set of bitters and you have a great host gift for festive drinks, and extra points if you make your host a cocktail while they cook!

My favorite gift to stock up on for the holiday season are our tea towels and embroidered stationery. With so many events and invitations this time of year, I can take a tea towel, tie it around a great bottle of wine and write a thank you note to the hosts on one of our special cards. I always remind the hosts that our cards are darling in a frame. They are truly a piece of art to be displayed! Our cards also pair nicely with a coffee table book, this year we are all loving Cabin Style by Chase Reynolds Ewald and Audrey Hall.

This time of year I gravitate to the Homecoming Bear, Welcome Christmas and Pomegranate tea towel designs and our Raise a Glass embroidered stationery. It is so hard to narrow down our collection of tea towels and stationary but with so many beautiful styles there is sure to be one design that speaks to a special memory or experience that you share with your hostess.

Alicia's Hostess Gift Guide
Meet Alicia, our Wholesale Accounts Manager! Alicia is from Texas and her hostess gift approach is “Go big or go home!” so naturally her picks are the Homecoming Table Runner (Top Right) and Plants Table Runner (Bottom Left). She’s also obsessed with Kindred Home candles (Bottom Right).

I am headed home for the holiday this year and my mom is hosting Thanksgiving dinner. She loves Coral & Tusk table runners (who doesn't?!) so I’m giving her our classic Homecoming design to add to her collection. If you are also headed somewhere extra special this Thanksgiving, an extra special hostess gift is in order! Our Plants Table Runner is also a favorite option, it’s festive and versatile.

My other go-to hostess gift is a Kindred Home hand-poured candle. You really can’t go wrong with any of their scents but let me tell ya, the Tobacco candle is truly the best. Kindred Home candles come in two sizes, one being a tote bag friendly 5oz travel size, ideal if you’re planning on hitting up multiple Thanksgiving feasts this year. Pick a different scent for every host!
