I love the wide open spaces. There's more sky than you have ever seen. Mountains suddenly emerge from the valley floor and the air smells of sagebrush and pine.”

Surrounded by trees with views of the Wind River mountain range and ample bird watching opportunities, Stephanie draws inspiration for Coral & Tusk designs in her Wyoming cabin and studio. Click below to discover where Stephanie's love for Wyoming started and how she weathers the long winters!

Stephanie's Inspiration

“Nature has always been the main inspiration behind our designs, whether that’s a depiction of an animal, its habitat, or general botanical themes.”

Stephanie enjoys bird-watching while on hikes and in her own backyard. Being able to observe new birds, learn their names, migratory paths, habits, habitats, nest types, egg colors, tree and food preferences has been a source of inspiration for Coral & Tusk designs.

When the weather is warm, Stephanie and her husband Chris love to entertain outside, enjoying the views.

These special, one-of-a-kind bison plates were created with ceramicist Nicolas Newcomb and hand drawn and painted by Stephanie. Orange enamel lamps compliment her custom Tumbleweed Vermilion table runners and Partridge Eye napkins.

The main elements of Stephanie’s cabin home decor include bringing the outside in using nature inspired designs and graphic geometrics for layering.

Stephanie's Wyoming Travel guide

There are too many incredible things to explore and see in Wyoming, so it's hard to include them all here! For a detailed list, pick up a copy of the Winter in the West issue of Sunset Magazine, on newsstands now through January 2022.

For an amazing place to stay near the Grand Teton National Park, I love The Cloudveil Hotel on town square in Jackson. Their guest rooms even feature Coral & Tusk pillows!

To eat, visit Persephone Cafe on East Broadway for delicious baked goods as well as their sister restaurant Picnic serving the perfect hearty sandwiches to fuel a nearby hike or bike ride to beautiful Jenny Lake! See more hikes the Coral & Tusk team took when they visited on our blog HERE.

For shopping, we love our friends at Workshop in Jackson. They carry Coral & Tusk pillows, table linens, and gifts as well as local artist's jewelry! Just a few blocks away is hatmaker JW Bennett who creates incredible hand made cowboy hats. They have Coral & Tusk custom embroidered hat bands of stitched feathers and fox designs HERE.
