A Guide to Dinner Napkins

Setting the table shouldn’t be a chore! Enjoy the process of decorating your table for your next springtime gathering or tonight’s family dinner. Today we’re talking dinner napkins! With our helpful styling tips, the most memorable part of your next meal may not be that great recipe, but the surroundings you dined in. Let’s get started!

Each of our table runners are designed with corresponding dinner napkins. Above, our Coral dinner napkin features a detailed embroidery of a red coral that coordinates with our coastal Large Coral table runner. Place our 20” square dinner napkins directly on the plate if hosting a larger gathering or place the napkin next to the plate for a family meal. Either way, leave the napkin unfolded to enjoy the beauty of the full design!

“But they are too nice to use as a napkin!” is the number one thing we hear about our table linens. First, thank you! Second, our dinner napkins may seem delicate but they are durable! Embroidered on undyed and unbleached natural linen, our dinner napkins can be laundered. However, we do recommend keeping them out of the dryer. Let them line dry and give them a quick steam iron, and your dinner napkins will be like new for Sunday’s dinner!

Although our dinner napkins are 100% okay to use, you may want an alternative napkin for those who are particularly messy eaters. We love pairing a woven solid or stripe napkin with our embroidered linens. The additional cloth napkin provides another layer to your table decor and cleans up tiny hands and faces covered in pasta sauce in a snap!

Our tea towels are a great way to play with patterns and motifs. We love how our Baby Beluga with Mama tea towel adds a playful touch to our Coral table linens. When you’re entertaining a larger group, our tea towels work well as a way to designate seating assignments. With so many different designs to choose from, each guest can claim the place setting with the design that speaks to them most.
