Product Launches
Throws and Quilts
We’ve had some really big product dreams come to life over the past few years, including our most recent launch in Fall 2022 of Throws and Quilts, a category we had been wanting to create for some time. The launch included one-of-a-kind quilts and limited edition embroidered throws. Learn more about Stephanie's inspiration for the collection on our blog.
Appliqué Pillows
2019 Stephanie created a capsule collection of Appliqué pillows which combined a rich textile process with her geometric designs. Each pillow was crafted with an innovative appliqué technique, stitching two tonal fabrics together with the signature, hand-drawn embroidery unique to Coral & Tusk. The designs paid homage to elements of architecture and ornamental textiles.
Original Artwork
In 2020 Stephanie painted three series of watercolors and it was the first time we offered her original artwork for sale. These watercolors went on to inspire our Songbirds collection and new additions to our Dog designs.
Halloween
In 2021, we introduced our very first Halloween collection to a great response! Stephanie had so much fun coming up with costumes for the Coral & Tusk crew and expanding our holiday line.
In the past five years, we also added tiny pillows, felt garlands and objects, tree skirts, buckets, and more to our line of products. This year we’ll introduce even more innovative designs, we can't wait to share!
Collaborations and Special Projects
We’ve been so lucky to form incredible friendships and partnerships with fellow designers and small businesses over the years. We’ve worked on a number of collaborations since we first started, from a furniture collection with VOLK to seeing our embroideries on John Derian plates.
Coral & Tusk x Hygge & West
In the past five years alone we’ve launched a wallpaper collection with Hygge & West. Our favorite designs were brought to life as wallpapers including our signature Plumes and fun Evil Eye design.
Coral & Tusk x Nekomura san
In 2020 we began a collaboration with illustrator Yoriko Hoshi embroidering her comic "Today’s Ms. Nekomura" alongside Coral & Tusk scenes as special accessories, pocket pillows, and holiday decorations.
In 2021 we collaborated with one of our favorite makers, Vintage by Crystal on special Halloween and Christmas ornaments and figurines. It was so cool to see our characters get the Vintage by Crystal handmade treatment! We also collaborated with Jackson Hole-based hatmaker JW Bennett on special hatbands this same year.
At the end of 2021, Stephanie realized a long-term goal of creating large-scale embroidered textiles! Her two pieces, Great Grey Owl and Roseate Spoonbill, were part of an exhibition at the Roll & Hill showroom in New York City.
Coral & Tusk x Paperless Post
In 2022 we partnered with Paperless Post, bringing our imaginative embroidered illustration into an online format! The Coral & Tusk x Paperless Post invitations are for every occasion, handcrafted with real embroidery and an authentic spirit, check them out for your next celebration!
Adventures
Japan
Over the years Stephanie and Asumi have traveled to Japan! In 2019 they went to Tokyo to teach an embroidery workshop in Fog Linen’s beautiful Tokyo space. In the class, students learned different stitches to create their own animal pal for an exclusive pocket pillow designed by Stephanie. Another exciting event included a welcoming party hosted by our Japanese stockist H.P. Deco. At the party interior stylist, Kanae Ishii gave a talk.
The trip culminated with a very special award! Tokyo hosts an annual calendar contest and our Panasonic Homes calendar collaboration was nominated among many other creative calendars. Our calendar was selected by the Prime Minister of Japan himself as the winner of the contest. We were so honored to be chosen among so many amazing nominees.
India
In the Fall of 2019 Stephanie traveled to India to visit Yukti, our production coordinator and our production partners. It was her first visit back to India in quite some time and she so enjoyed connecting with our partners.
Retreats
Since setting up shop in Pinedale, our team has enjoyed visiting each other in NYC and Wyoming. We had our first NYC retreat in 2019, our Wyoming team members were able to visit Brooklyn and our office here. Later that year our Brooklyn staff went out to Wyoming for a big photoshoot. We shot our Camping Collection on Snake River Ranch with the Grand Tetons as our backdrop!
Publications
Since our 10-year anniversary, Stephanie has shared her home in Sunset Magazine and House Beautiful!
We also saw our work published in books, including Design for Children from Phaidon and Hygge & West Home: Design for a Cozy Life!
Giving Back
We’ve donated over $100,000 to charitable organizations and causes in the last five years! To see our full charitable contributions overview head over to the page on our website which breaks it all down.
Looking Forward
The past 15 years have been incredible! We’re looking forward to continuing to celebrate this year and dreaming up the next 15! Thank YOU for your support, business and enthusiasm!
